Tate Britain - Paper and Photographs conservation placement

During my summer placement at Tate, I have been able to observe and learn the professional practices in paper and photograph conservation. For example, I learned how to identify photographic materials and gained a foundation in how to conserve a photograph, as well as being involved in mount making and rehousing plans for archival material. The placement has further developed my understanding of paper and photograph conservation and provided me with the opportunity to gain experience working in a professional environment.
