This archival conservation project involved a box of uncataloged legal documents, which was divided among eight students. Each of us was given approximately 30 documents to work on. All the documents were washed in batches, pressed, dried, repaired, and rehoused into an archival box.

List of Treatment Performed:

  1. Dry Cleaning with smoke sponge and rubber erasers

  2. Aqueous treatment (immersive wash with cold water, pH 7.2 tap water) - one wash

  3. Repaired the tears with Japanese tissue

  4. Pressed and Rehoused
